AR Business Card

The first design was as a fun project to get used to using vuforia at my new job. The second design was a refresh for a class assignment and for myself. The initial AR concept was a basic AR instrument, where the card becomes the "mallet" to play a virtual instrument which would float in front of the user. The second and final AR concept ended up being a few particle systems creating a sun inside a galaxy. The sun acts as a sort of particle trail "paint brush", allowing the user to "paint" on the screen. The flag and "blueAR" portion of the target are the logo for Blue Visual Effects, which my employer Dream Syndicate was split off from.

I decided I wanted to refresh the design a bit and go for something curvier. I made some more space for the arrow, as well as some overall asymmetry in the target design for better tracking. I kept a rivet on the bottom left as a nod to the original.

First Iteration of the business card. Its overall design and color choice was inspired by my original pixel-art profile icon. The arrow indicates where to hold the card when using the AR.

Second pass augmentation. Focusing on a starry paint interaction using particle trails.

First pass augmentation. Idea was to use this as a "mallet" on other elements that'd play sound.
